Inspired By Lakeland
Based alongside the Brathay in Skelwith Bridge, Inspired by Lakeland makes beautiful products inspired by the English Lake District, including the Lake District Sticker Book and Lake District Quiz Book.
We print on paper sourced responsibly and our main Cumbrian-based printers plant trees for each book printed.
In February 2017 our work was recognised by the National Trust, who awarded us the inaugaral Community Business Award for our commitment to sustainable, ethical and locally-focused business.

Jane Mallinson Feltmaker
Jane has been making felt for about 10 years. She likes to make things that can be used such as bags, scarves, mittens, shawls, book covers and cowls. She likes to incorporate different weight of silk into her work, which enhances the texture, feel and strength of an object.
Colour is very important to Jane and felt is a wonderful medium to blend colour and use wool in a painterly way.
I Heart Jam
I Heart Jam started 5 years ago as a way of friends Lisa & Sarah spending time together. Also, as a way of using fruit from Sarah’s allotment. It snowballed from a few jars for a charity & neighbours knocking on the door asking for more to a full blown business!!
We try to use British seasonal produce wherever possible and recycle our glass jars. We have been buying our damsons from Lowe Farm & the quality is amazing!
